COP24 in Katowice, Poland
The 24th Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change – better known as COP24 – was held Dec. 3-17 in Katowice, Poland. Cornell University was represented by a delegation of 17 Students and 6 Faculty members over the two week period. Cornellians spoke at press conferences, organized side events, country pavillions and
and were staffing the Cornell booth engaging with hundreds of climate change professionals from around the world.
Dr. Erika Styger spoke on Feeding West Africa with Climate-Smart Rice Farming at
at the Nigerial Pavillion and on Arriver à l’Auto-Suffisance en Riz avec une Riziculture Intelligente face au Climat during Senegal Day at the Senegal Pavilion, both on December 12.
